The MCP3421 is a single channel low-noise, high accuracy ΔΣ A/D converter with differential inputs and up to 18 bits of resolution in a small SOT-23-6 package. The on-board precision 2.048V reference voltage enables an input range of ±2.048V differentially (Δ voltage = 4.096V). The device uses a two-wire I2C compatible serial interface and operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V power supply. The MCP3421 device performs conversion at rates of 3.75, 15, 60, or 240 samples per second (SPS) depending on the user controllable configuration bit settings using the two-wire I2C serial interface. This device has an on-board programmable gain amplifier (PGA). The user can select the PGA gain of x1, x2, x4, or x8 before the analog-to-digital conversion takes place. This allows the MCP3421 device to convert a smaller input signal with high resolution. The device has two conversion modes: (a) Continuous mode and (b) One-Shot mode. In One-Shot mode, the device enters a low current standby mode automatically after one conversion. This reduces current consumption greatly during idle periods. The MCP3421 device can be used for various high accuracy analog-to-digital data conversion applications where design simplicity, low power, and small footprint are major considerations.

These peripherals are supported by an 8 sources 2-level interrupt capability. To facilitate programming and verification, the Flash EPROM inside the W78E516D/W78E058D series allows the program memory to be programmed and read electronically. Once the code is confirmed, the user can protect the code for security. The W78E516D/W78E058D series microcontroller has two power reduction modes, idle mode and power-down mode, both of which are software selectable. The idle mode turns off the processor clock but allows for continued peripheral operation. The power-down mode stops the crystal oscillator for minimum power consumption. The external clock can be stopped at any time and in any state without affecting the processor.

The peripherals are equipped with 18 sources with 4-level-priority interrupts capability. The MS51BA9AE / MS51DA9AE is equipped with three clock sources and supports switching on-the fly via software. The three clock sources include external clock input, 10 kHz internal oscillator, and one 16 MHz internal precise oscillator that is factory trimmed to ±1% at room temperature. The MS51 provides additional power monitoring detection such as power-on reset and 4-level brown-out detection, which stabilizes the power-on/off sequence for a high reliability system design. The MS51BA9AE / MS51DA9AE microcontroller operation consumes a very low power with two economic power modes to reduce power consumption - Idle and Power-down mode, which are software selectable. Idle mode turns off the CPU clock but allows continuing peripheral operation. Power-down mode stops the whole system clock for minimum power consumption. The system clock of the MS51 can also be slowed down by software clock divider, which allows for a flexibility between execution performance and power consumption. With high performance CPU core and rich well-designed peripherals, the MS51 benefits to meet a general purpose, home appliances, or motor control system accomplishment.

The LPC1769/68/67/66/65/64/63 are ARM Cortex-M3 based microcontrollers for embedded applications featuring a high level of integration and low power consumption. The Arm Cortex-M3 is a next generation core that offers system enhancements such as enhanced debug features and a higher level of support block integration. The LPC1768/67/66/65/64/63 operate at CPU frequencies of up to 100 MHz. The LPC1769 operates at CPU frequencies of up to 120 MHz. The Arm Cortex-M3 CPU incorporates a 3-stage pipeline and uses a Harvard architecture with separate local instruction and data buses as well as a third bus for peripherals. The Arm Cortex-M3 CPU also includes an internal prefetch unit that supports speculative branching. The peripheral complement of the LPC1769/68/67/66/65/64/63 includes up to 512 kB of flash memory, up to 64 kB of data memory, Ethernet MAC, USB Device/Host/OTG interface, 8-channel general purpose DMA controller, 4 UARTs, 2 CAN channels, 2 SSP controllers, SPI interface, 3 I2C-bus interfaces, 2-input plus 2-output I2S-bus interface, 8-channel 12-bit ADC, 10-bit DAC, motor control PWM, Quadrature Encoder interface, four general purpose timers, 6-output general purpose PWM, ultra-low power Real-Time Clock (RTC) with separate battery supply, and up to 70 general purpose I/O pins. The LPC1769/68/67/66/65/64/63 are pin-compatible to the 100-pin LPC236x Arm7-based microcontroller series

The MCP7940N Real-Time Clock/Calendar (RTCC) tracks time using internal counters for hours, minutes, seconds, days, months, years, and day of week. Alarms can be configured on all counters up to and including months. For usage and configuration, the MCP7940N supports I2C communications up to 400 kHz. The open-drain, multi-functional output can be configured to assert on an alarm match, to output a selectable frequency square wave, or as a general purpose output. The MCP7940N is designed to operate using a 32.768 kHz tuning fork crystal with external crystal load capacitors. On-chip digital trimming can be used to adjust for frequency variance caused by crystal tolerance and temperature. SRAM and timekeeping circuitry are powered from the back-up supply when main power is lost, allowing the device to maintain accurate time and the SRAM contents. The times when the device switches over to the back-up supply and when primary power returns are both logged by the power-fail time-stamp.
