The ISO3080 and ISO3086 devices are isolated full-duplex differential line drivers and receivers while the ISO3082 and ISO3088 devices are isolated half-duplex differential line transceivers for TIA/EIA 485/422 applications.

These devices are ideal for long transmission lines because the ground loop is broken to allow for a much larger common-mode voltage range. The symmetrical isolation barrier of the device is tested to provide 2500 VRMS of isolation for 60 s per UL 1577 between the bus-line transceiver and the logic-level interface.

Any cabled I/O can be subjected to electrical noise transients from various sources. These noise transients can cause damage to the transceiver and/or nearby sensitive circuitry if they are of sufficient magnitude and duration. These isolated devices can significantly increase protection and reduce the risk of damage to expensive control circuits.

The ISO3080, ISO3082, ISO3086, and ISO3088 device are qualified for use from –40°C to +85°C.

Based on Avia Semiconductor’s patented technology, HX710 is a precision 24-bit analogto-digital converter (ADC) with built-in temperature sensor designed for weigh scales and industrial control applications to interface directly with a bridge sensor. The input low-noise amplifier (PGA) has a fixed gain of 128, corresponding to a full-scale differential input voltage of ±20mV, when a 5V reference voltage is connected to the VREF pin. On chip oscillator provides the system clock without any external component. On-chip power-on-reset circuitry simplifies digital interface initialization. There is no programming needed for the internal registers. All controls to the HX710 are through the pins.

The DG201B, DG202B analog switches are highly improved versions of the industry-standard DG201A, DG202. These devices are fabricated in Vishay Siliconix’ proprietary silicon gate CMOS process, resulting in lower on-resistance, lower leakage, higher speed, and lower power consumption. These quad single-pole single-throw switches are designed for a wide variety of applications in telecommunications, instrumentation, process control, computer peripherals, etc. An improved charge injection compensation design minimizes switching transients. The DG201B and DG202B can handle up to ± 22 V input signals, and have an improved continuous current rating of 30 mA. An epitaxial layer prevents latchup. All devices feature true bi-directional performance in the on condition, and will block signals to the supply voltages in the off condition. The DG201B is a normally closed switch and the DG202B is a normally open switch. (see Truth Table.)

The XL1509 is a 150 KHz fixed frequency PWM buck (step-down) DC/DC converter, capable of driving a 2A load with high efficiency, low ripple and excellent line and load regulation. The ADS1113, ADS1114, and ADS1115 devices (ADS111x) are precision, low-power, 16-bit, I2C-compatible, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) offered in an ultra-small, leadless, X2QFN-10 package, and a VSSOP-10 package. The ADS111x devices incorporate a low-drift voltage reference and an oscillator. The ADS1114 and ADS1115 also incorporate a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) and a digital comparator. The ADS111x operate in either continuous-conversion mode or single-shot mode. The devices are automatically powered down after one conversion in single-shot mode; therefore, power consumption is significantly reduced during idle periods

The HTC TJ7660 is a monolithic CMOS power supply circuit which offers unique performance advantages over previously available devices. The TJ7660 performs supply voltage conversions from positive to negative for an input range of +1.5V to +10.0V resulting in complementary output voltages of -1.5V to -10.0V. Only 2 noncritical external capacitors are needed for the charge pump and charge reservoir functions. The TJ7660 can also be connected to function as voltage doublers and will generate output voltages up to +18.6V with a +10V input. Contained on the chip are a series DC supply regulator, RC oscillator, voltage level translator, and four output power MOS switches. A unique logic element senses the most negative voltage in the device and ensures that the output N-Channel switch source-substrate junctions are not forward biased. This assures latch-up free operation. The oscillator, when unloaded, oscillates at a nominal frequency of 10kHz for an input supply voltage of 5.0V. This frequency can be lowered by the addition of an external capacitor to the “OSC” terminal, or the oscillator may be overdriven by an external clock. The “LV” terminal may be tied to GROUND to bypass the internal series regulator and improve low voltage (LV) operation. At medium to high voltages (+3.5V to +10.0V for the TJ7660), the LV pin is left floating to prevent device latch-up.

The XL1509 is a 150 KHz fixed frequency PWM buck (step-down) DC/DC converter, capable of driving a 2A load with high efficiency, low ripple and excellent line and load regulation. Requiring a minimum number of external components, the regulator is simple to use and include internal frequency compensation and a fixed-frequency oscillator. The PWM control circuit is able to adjust the duty ratio linearly from 0 to 100%. An enable function, an over current protection function is built inside. When second current limit function happens, the operation frequency will be reduced from 150KHz to 50KHz. An internal compensation block is built in to minimize external component count.
